The X-Project-shoe Pearl Izumi is a year old, but still has an update with two central Boa closures. The Japanese brand also brings a lot of safe fluorescent yellow colors of the safety clothing in the collection.
The original X-Project mountain bike shoe was a nice product: the unique sole aim was to be able to walk comfortably (by being flexible where necessary) but to the same time as efficiently cycling as a fully stiff carbon sole. These patented sole has been preserved and is useful for both mountain bikers and cycle-cross riders. There are no seams on the toe and the entire top (from 0.9 mm “thick” Second Skin Upper accumulating around the foot) is adhered reflective tape to both the X-Project 1.0 and the 2.0, so you exclude uncomfortable seams and pressure points.
The 1.0 now has two central Boas working in a new way: to turn one side makes the conclusion more loosely, on the other hand firmer (previously you had to pull the lock up to completely dissolve the closure). The 2.0 gets one BOA- and one Velcro closure.
The new X-Road Fuel III appears again on a regular shoe with a quick-drying, breathable mesh top but it is an efficient SPD shoe with nylon sole.
VISIBILITY SAFETY
25 years ago used Pearl Izumi for the first time the striking color Screaming Yellow, assuming that visibility is of primary importance to safety. The fluorescent nature of that yellow is a change in the wavelength of UV-light in a visible wavelength, which is two to three times the amount of light reflected from normal colors. In the place of from a distance of 171 meters from you will see a driver 671 meters far during the day and from 46 to 171 meters at night. Even color-blind drivers can see you better. Pearl Izumi also transferred reflective material such as moving points on the calf, so you are more visible. The Hi Vis -collection includes a jacket, gloves, shirt, arm warmers, shoe covers and a cap.
