“Keep the vest!” – For student’s safety

The fresh winds of the girls and boys with wearing safety vest in the morning in two weeks of Autofreier School on their way to blowing around the nose, made them even more alert for the lessons. In this session, teachers and parents’ representatives yesterday agreed in the gym of the Paulsboro primary school. There, classes and groups, which were rated according to a point system, were awarded. The 3a shone as winner and thus winner. Otherwise, there were only second places.

“Because you’ve all been so good,” explained teacher Kanji in front of the student group, together with a “colorful group” from the integration class. She had prepared the car-free weeks. There were points for the number of pupils in a class who had made it to the Paulsboro independently without parental help and parental car. Further points were awarded for the wearing of warning reflective vests on the way to school. “These vests, or in any case bright, eye-catching clothes you should continue to wear in the morning,” the children were admonished.

Contact officer Kanji of the Achier police had specifically trained the younger ones in traffic education with important traffic rules before the action started.

As usual, the primary schoolchildren collected themselves again at meeting points, from there in groups the Paulsboro steered. Steffi from the parents’ representatives as well as other mothers and fathers supported the two-week action. With few exceptions, parents refused to bring their pupils to school in the car, Steffi reported. The dangerous departure and departure chaos did not come.

The teachers would like to see that there will be as many children in reflective jacket as possible in the car as well. Getting on with the bicycle, which is, of course, lit in accordance with the regulations, is also an accepted alternative.
