Horse riding is becoming more popular

When children want to ride on horseback, they no longer have to wait for a pilgrimage, as it was a few years ago. Equestrian sport has grown significantly in recent years. The stables offer either regular lessons under the guidance of a coach or a one-time ride. And there are stables that also offer various horses rehabilitation.

In Rakovnik, there are more than ten places where people can ride a horse. Either they are equestrian stables or smaller clubs. Children are particularly interested in this sport. For those, stables have smaller ponies on which children begin to learn to ride. “In my opinion, the interest in riding is greater in recent years, and it is due to the fact that horseback riding is becoming more and more affordable, both in terms of price and widening offer of riding, and above all a number of different stables and riding halls,” said Hama. And such a riding lesson does not just involve riding alone. “Children care about the horse. Before cleaning, they clean and sit. They are preparing feeds and dredging. “said Simon, owner of the Bentley ranch. According to which, horse care is just as important as training.

Those more ambitious take part in races. Those hobbies, where there is no license needed at the Czech Equestrian Federation, are held in the district during the season. The same is true of the Hubert, which is held in the autumn, at the end of the riding season. It runs in several styles. “In English style, it is mainly parking, driving skills, or racing. In the west, there are speed disciplines such as barrel racing, pole bending. Dressage is also widespread. “Salaam explained.

Beginning riders first need a well-fitting helmet, a safety vest or spine protector, long comfortable trousers and good solid boots. But cheap hobby is definitely not. If riding begins to devote more attention to the child, equestrian equipment costs several thousand crowns.

Stables are holding lessons for the public, even several times a week. They offer nature trips or riding lessons. One hour on the back of a horse ranges from 100 to 500 crowns in Rakovník. In the long run, in most cases, club contributions are paid and part of the rider can sometimes work in the form of brigades. Stages offer different types of training and the way of teaching differs. “Every club leader can have a different teaching and emphasis on the correct control of the horse, somewhere the children sit on a horse and just hold on. And that’s not good for both horses and riders.

Some stables are holding hobby races for riders who are not licensed by the Czech Equestrian Federation during the riding season. The races include cups, medals and, in particular, ribbons. “I like to race on races. Last season I won eight cups with my dick, “says Renata, nine years old, who runs on the Ranch at Bentley. Aura ranch even organizes a year-round cup. This includes several races in the season and an absolute winner is at the end. The largest stables in the district are the Rude Equestrian Club. He also organizes races under the Czech Cavalry Federation. And not only jumping, but also racing.
