Violators will be punished by a fine of 68 Euros. Then the ADAC draws attention in Munich. The new regulation applies to bikes with a displacement of more than 125 cubic centimeters or vehicles of category L5e (motor tricycles) with at least 150 cubic centimeters. All of them need to wear reflective vest or reflective tape to keep safe on road.
The clothing should not reflect from the outset. An additional armband in sufficient size is, for example, permitted. The material must also reflect only at night and not be fluorescent. Also, a specific color is not required by the French authorities. However, the reflective material had to be carried to other road users clearly visible on the upper body.
