Police officers in safety vest warn children at zebras

Some police stations or police officers with wear safety vest are seen around the school all year round – but from Monday, the presence of the uniforms becomes even clearer. Not only in the morning between 7:00 and 8:00, and then after schooling, but also in schools.

There are a number of seminars on safe road traffic. From the last March until April 4th, the police organize the spring round of the eighth year of the preventive information campaign “The Zebra does not look for you!”

The new spring of this year is that in Prague and Central Bohemia police will sometimes be accompanied by representatives of Auto. While police prevention and transport operators in the Zebra campaign talk to schoolchildren primarily as non-motorized road users and discuss the safety of pedestrians (especially the lesson about proper crossing the road is never enough) and cyclists, car makers will be the kids as co-drivers In motor vehicles.

Demonstration is mainly about demonstrations of proper attachment in child car seats; But also simulated impacts associated with explaining the operation of the airbag, remembers Renate Sander from the police presidency.

Gift items increase efficiency

Together with police officers, the BESIP coordinators will also go on the field. Various gift items are available to them and other partners, and the cops try to promote campaign effectiveness. Nor do not miss the notorious task-sticks with a police motif, much sought after in recent years.

But – this time, Sander is very promising to give away reflective accessories, which will ensure that pedestrians can see them in the dark in time, even if they wear dark clothing. “First and foremost, these reflective elements should become a motivational element to remind children and youth of responsibility for their health and life in relation to their behavior in road traffic,” Sander said.

The fact that the pedestrian chauffeur dressed in black or blue dressed has a chance to notice on the verge of the road to the last moment – if not too late – confirmed by the head of Prague traffic police Pave. Such a reflective strip allows for a longer distance to respond to the presence of a pedestrian who is wearing white clothing. The inconspicuous light-reflecting feature of the car really can help prevent black ends…
