A cyclist was hit on Monday morning at the intersection of Salvador Avenue in the city of Iquique, Tarapacá Region.
According to reports from the Emergency Medical Care Service (SAMU), the incident occurred at 08:30 hours when a jeep collided the bicycle of a 30-year-old Haitian citizen, who ended up lying in the central of Salvador Avenue.
After the fact, SAMU personnel arrived at the place where they confirmed that the affected only had slight abrasive wounds in his left leg.
They also noted that at the time of the events, the foreign citizen was not wearing the helmet, reflective vest, nor the white and red lights, as indicated by the new Law of Road Coexistence.
