Our survey

We asked you this Wednesday, November 14, to know your feelings on this movement. Here are the results of this survey, in which 3900 people participated:

I support the Yellow Vests but I will not participate in the movement: 36% (1403 votes)

I’ll be at their side with my yellow vest which made with reflective fabric: 37% (1440 votes)

I am opposed to movement: 27% (1057)

Dominique Joaquin, the patron saint of Ambulances in Quimper. “Three or four months ago, a full tank of gas cost less than 100 Euros. Today, we have to pay 120 Euros. In our company of eight employees, we have six vehicles. I do not even dare look at my monthly fuel bill. We cannot pass on this increase because our rates are fixed by the Social Security and they evolve little. ”

Christophe Collin, technical manager of armament at Guilvinec, “The fishermen use peach gas oil, which is strongly zero-rated. Nevertheless, we are also facing a rise in prices. In October 2017, we paid 0.43 euro per liter of diesel. Today we pay him 0.57 euro per liter. We use very large volumes: it takes 25,000 liters of diesel for a tide of 14 days. Do the math! And armament has 11 ships! Diesel is currently 30% of charges against 25% previously. ”

Stephan Bahaman, president of Medef Finistère, “The increase in the price of fuel, these are taxes that increase further and will have the effect of reducing margins. This situation is good for neither business nor the economy. Within our organization, construction companies and carriers are probably the most affected. There is a movement of grumbling but it is not as sensitive as in the private individuals. ”

Jean-Pierre, member of European Ecology Greens at Quimper, “A yellow vest with reflective tape, I wear one just when I ride a bike, for my safety! I know that taking action on behalf of the climate is not shared by all and I am aware that the increase in the price of fuel makes it more difficult for those with low incomes to travel. This raises the question of purchasing power and how to ensure the mobility of everyone whether in town or in the countryside. It is necessary, today, to develop the transport of tomorrow in phase with the ecological transition: public transport, carpooling, bicycle plans… “
