“Well seen together” on Bleu Pays

Every year, for cyclists and pedestrians, the change in the winter time is synonymous with an increase in accidents related to the decrease in brightness, especially without any reflective accessories. The France Bleu network launches the operation “Bien vu ensemble”.

The operation “Well seen together” is to find this Friday, October 27 from 9am in “Life in Blue” with the general agents of insurance. All day with France Bleu Pays de Savoy, listeners will win their safety kits. This safety kit includes a yellow safety vest with reflective stripes, a yellow backpack with reflective stripes, a reflective bracelet and adhesives to stick on bicycle frames.

This operation takes as an anchor, the transition to winter time, synonymous with a significant increase in the number of victims of traffic accidents and particularly among the most vulnerable, pedestrians and cyclists.

Indeed, the night falling an hour earlier, pedestrians and cyclists are less visible because of this lack of brightness without reflective vest.

Police officers in safety vest warn children at zebras

Some police stations or police officers with wear safety vest are seen around the school all year round – but from Monday, the presence of the uniforms becomes even clearer. Not only in the morning between 7:00 and 8:00, and then after schooling, but also in schools.

There are a number of seminars on safe road traffic. From the last March until April 4th, the police organize the spring round of the eighth year of the preventive information campaign “The Zebra does not look for you!”

The new spring of this year is that in Prague and Central Bohemia police will sometimes be accompanied by representatives of Auto. While police prevention and transport operators in the Zebra campaign talk to schoolchildren primarily as non-motorized road users and discuss the safety of pedestrians (especially the lesson about proper crossing the road is never enough) and cyclists, car makers will be the kids as co-drivers In motor vehicles.

Demonstration is mainly about demonstrations of proper attachment in child car seats; But also simulated impacts associated with explaining the operation of the airbag, remembers Renate Sander from the police presidency.

Gift items increase efficiency

Together with police officers, the BESIP coordinators will also go on the field. Various gift items are available to them and other partners, and the cops try to promote campaign effectiveness. Nor do not miss the notorious task-sticks with a police motif, much sought after in recent years.

But – this time, Sander is very promising to give away reflective accessories, which will ensure that pedestrians can see them in the dark in time, even if they wear dark clothing. “First and foremost, these reflective elements should become a motivational element to remind children and youth of responsibility for their health and life in relation to their behavior in road traffic,” Sander said.

The fact that the pedestrian chauffeur dressed in black or blue dressed has a chance to notice on the verge of the road to the last moment – if not too late – confirmed by the head of Prague traffic police Pave. Such a reflective strip allows for a longer distance to respond to the presence of a pedestrian who is wearing white clothing. The inconspicuous light-reflecting feature of the car really can help prevent black ends…

The gloves with reflective material certified compulsory from Sunday

Proposed by the Road Safety Committee (IRB) on 2 October 2015, the measure requiring mandatory gloves with reflective material certified on a motorized two-wheeled vehicle was validated and published in the Official Gazette on 19 September.

As a result, all users of motorcycles and scooters, pilots as passengers, must now be equipped with EPI-certified gloves in all circumstances. The measure will come into force on Sunday, November 20th. In other words, you have until Saturday to buy you a homologated pair if not yet the case.

As a reminder, any glove cannot be worn. The decree of 19 September 2016 specifies that the latter must be “in conformity with the regulations on personal protective equipment, like the safety vest“. They are recognizable by the CE marking specific to the practice of the motorcycle.

As of Sunday, any driver or passenger who does not respect this new regulation of the Highway Code will be subject to a third-class fine, a flat-rate fine of € 68 and a withdrawal of a point on the driver’s license.

In order to accompany this measure and to insist on the importance of adapted equipment, Road Safety launches a new prevention campaign. The latter reminds users of the need to protect their hands on a two-wheeler by using reflective accessory. This campaign will be broadcast in the print media and available on the web.

Children learn to safely navigate the new constable

Třebeničtí pupil’s yesterday morning before school to meet with the policewoman with  Reflective vest from printing department and Prevention and the new local police officer.

The aim was to examine the pupils, if properly and safely cross the street. The speech was also about “the absolute priority” of pedestrians at crossings and that this is an unwritten rule not to rely. Every schoolboy then received a reflective tape with information on the importance of its use.

“Children are on the road more at risk than other walkers. Less focus and cannot yet estimate the distance well and anticipate the situation. The more important is to be on the road also maximizing visibility. Bright clothes, school bag and shoes with reflective accessories will make their daily journey to school and from school safer, “explained Paul, spokespeople.

Reflective elements should be commonplace for pedestrians

The law not only thinks on motorists who must be from November 1 under the circumstances winter tires. Reflective material must be wearing pedestrians, who move in poor visibility on the road outside the village. Policemen but recommend wearing reflective elements for all pedestrians, not just those affected by the amendment to the Road Traffic Act of February this year touches.

That’s how it looked this morning at one of Karvina. Longer waiting period is annually subject to the obligation from November 1 for the winter in conditions which clearly stipulated by law. A continuous layer of snow has not yet appeared, but the potential danger of frost. They must have all year to wear reflective material.

Miroslav Kolatek, spokesperson for the Czech Police Karvina: “It’s not enough he only put on the strap of her purse, which is then hidden in the armpit, but keeps it visible on his hands, on foot, or on a cap or jacket so that it is visible to other participants.”

Wear reflective fabric in the village is not mandatory, but police wearing all pedestrians are recommended.

A spokesman for the PCR Karvina: “They increase their visibility and thereby contribute to their safety.”

A poll pedestrian: “I am a driver, so I know that I wear. I have the tape. “” I’m too pale dress. “” I do not wear them because when it’s dark, I’m home. “” Unfortunately, I have, as you see. “” I do not wear because they do not have it. I have to take it. ”

All walkers should be aware that if a man wearing dark clothes, a driver registers in reduced visibility to twenty meters. The white color is visible up to 55 meters. In doing so, the ideal distance for the reaction is 200 meters. And it guarantees only reflective accessory.

Reflective Light and versatile protection

Especially on long stretches of road cyclists is often exposed to a wide range of different weather conditions.

Here the new “Insulated Brevet” comes

From Rapha into play: Thanks to its “Alpha” filling on front and back, it makes for pleasant warmth. Since it is Alpha is a continuous, loosely knitted layer, the thermal insulation is breathable, and prevents overheating even at high intensity before.

The “Insulated Brevet” is equipped with a two-way zipper, the back pockets can be achieved quickly and easily. Reflective accessory details provide enhanced visibility in the dark.

Thanks to elastic sides the vest can

Simply be pulled even at full back pockets. The front zipper is highlighted, and keeps out the wind. A water-repellent coating offers additional protection in case of sudden rain.

Since Alpha hydrophobic, or is water-repellent, it sucks itself also not full, when things get wet, and also convinces through fast drying times. And if the driver no longer needs the safety vest, he can with the help of an elastic band, which is hidden in the collar, Curled compact.

Alpha was developed as an active insulation; the adaptive respiratory activity makes it unnecessary, while type clothing layers additionally on or takes off.

Therefore, the material is ideal for cycling. By water vapor can move freely through the material, the air exchange will promote the overall and extremely shortens the drying time. The result is an increased comfort through thermal regulation.

“Because it is a continuous layer of fluffy, knitted fibers, fibers cannot ‘moving’ the result is excellent stability and dimensional stability -. Even under heavy use and repeated washings,” explains Karen Whittier, as product manager for thermal protection responsible.

Warm even when wet and dries much faster than before on the market existing thermal insulation reflective materials. Very light and compressible, it provides warmth without much weight, and is also extremely wind resistant.

How does this work? Unlike down and synthetic heat-insulation is at Alpha to a continuous, loose knit, so only one layer.

The advantage: it remains stable, and cannot slip. In addition, fibers cannot solve. Therefore Alpha are processed with much more open, more porous and more breathable fabrics on the inside and outside to “Puffy” -like Styles.
