A fatal accident for Pulaski. Audi a3 hit a man

The policemen together with the prosecutor, explain the causes and circumstances of the tragic accident that occurred on Pułaskiego Street. From the preliminary findings of the police from the traffic department, it appears that the driver of the A3 Audi struck a man passing through the pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian died on the spot.

“The event happened today at around 6.00 on Pułaskiego Street in Częstochowa. From the preliminary findings of the police from the traffic department, it appears that the A3 driver driving towards the Monte Cassino Heroes alley hit a man passing by at the height of the PKP Stradom station by a pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian died on the spot. The 38-year-old driver was sober,” says Marta Landowska, spokeswoman of the Municipal Police Headquarters.

Czestochowa police appeal to road users to wear reflective vests.

“Using reflective materials especially in autumn and winter, when it’s dark early and visibility is definitely worse, it can save our lives. Therefore, wearing reflectivevetss by pedestrians should become a habit. According to the Road Traffic Law, pedestrians who move along the road after dark outside the built-up area are obliged to use reflective elements in a visible way for other road users,” says Marta Landowska.

“Correctly worn reflective elements should be placed in such a place that they are in the field of car lights and visible to drivers coming in from both directions (back and front). If you attach a reflective tape to the backpack (on the back of the silhouette) it is obvious that it will not be noticed by drivers coming from the opposite direction and vice versa when the reflection will be only in front, the driver behind us will not see him. It is safe to have two reflective elements one at the front and the other at the back or use such types of reflectors that can be seen from both sides, for example, reflective bands,” adds Landowska.

Municipality of Rancagua celebrates World Bicycle Day

As part of this activity, 500 reflective vests were delivered free of charge to cyclists to improve their safety conditions.

The Day of the bicycle is celebrated all over the world and Rancagua was not the exception. The purpose of this data is to promote this alternative means of transport, economic and ecological, and to draw attention to the rights and duties of cyclists.

That is why in the framework of this celebration, in five strategic points of the city, municipal officials gave free 500 reflective vests with reflective tapes to all cyclists who walked from 7 to 8.30 in the morning, by bike lanes, as an element to promote safety.

Those who at that time were going to their places of work or schools, were grateful for this initiative that will undoubtedly provide greater security in their daily trips.

Rancagua has 54 km of cycle paths in the city, making it the largest interconnected network in the entire country, so the municipality has taken the commitment to deliver a secure network, interconnected so that all pedestrians who choose this means of mobilization can use them more calmly and safely.

For Raimondi, director of SECPLAC, “this activity was a success, since we have been pleasantly satisfied, we have confirmed that the cyclists are using our bicycle lanes and are becoming more and more concerned about their safety. Our challenge is to advance in this area, promote good practices and contribute to have a better culture around the use of the bicycle. “he said.

For its part, the cyclists who traveled this morning appreciated this delivery and the concern of the municipality. “It will help me a lot in my transfers. Now I can see the motorists and I can be calmer when I leave the house early to work at the center,” said José.

Meanwhile, another beneficiary highlighted how useful it is to have reflective materials on the bike. ” I thank the municipality for caring about us. “he said.

The bicycle is an alternative means of economic and ecological locomotion, beneficial for health and respectful with the environment, but it is necessary to raise awareness about the culture around it, with simple advice you can have a better coexistence and safety: always use helmet, reflective clothing, white front light, red rear light, respect the pedestrian and make use of the roads enabled for their transit.

Ideal for summer and winter: white roads

White roads not only do well on Christmas cards. They are also very good for the environment, which plays an important role as the reflective material does. They ensure that it is a lot less warm in the city.

There are already a number of reflective roads in North Holland, another week this week. They also try it out in Amsterdam, and since this spring you can also see them in, yes, Los Angeles. There they painted a special coating over the roads, making them white. It saved a whopping ten degrees. Dark colors absorb light, which makes it warmer. White actually fires the heat. You also notice this when wearing a white or black t-shirt in the summer.

Piet is an engineer and designs highways. He is responsible for the white roads in the Netherlands. Our summers are getting warmer because of climate change. Temperatures can rise considerably in cities in particular, because the heat is difficult to remove because of the buildings. Annoying side-effect is that more dangerous substances are being emitted by cars.

But the new roads have even more advantages. It is also safer in the winter. Just think: if you ride in the dark, you are much better visible on a white road than on gray asphalt. This means that street lighting has to be less fierce, and that also saves energy.

Reflective roads in the Netherlands look less spectacular at first glance than in Los Angeles. This is because Piet prefers not to use the coating. According to him, it wears much faster. He therefore mixes the asphalt with very fine gravel. It is called stone chips. If a lot of cars drive over it, it will wear out and the white will slowly appear. Except for using white roads, people wearing reflective vests or reflective tapes can also keep safety a night.

Do you know retro reflection?

Unfortunately, in the publication, the most important thing is to define what “retro reflective materials” are and what they should look like. “For example, we have fluorescent materials that increase visibility in daylight and at dusk, but they lose their function in the dark”, explain the pitfalls of a simplified search for Bezique Chief Martin Farrar. In addition, we have found that not every orange or light green working vest is wearing real retro reflective tapes – those that reflect light at night and draw attention to the character in the dark!

Although the transport legislation suggests that the term “retro reflective” refers to the emergency stop of a vehicle outside the village or the permissible pedestrian signs, the executive decree shows examples of orange “roadside” assemblies and reflective vests with the inscription “School”, which in both cases, it is difficult to dress the participants.

In addition, this link is missing in the passage about their new designation. Members have already been caught up during the vote. “Retro reflective materials – it’s a very difficult word and I admit I’m a little confused. It is the Latin word of origin. The reflector means bending, turning, returning. How do I translate retro reflex, I do not know. I probably turn, bend back, back. Or I turn, bend back. I wonder why this term was born. “said Daniel Corte, a deputy, and linguist from TOP 09. For the sake of order: a term that has been spelled out for years is commonly used for the principle of the retro reflection of light…
