The collision of a motorcycle with BMW at UL

In WYSIWYG at UL. Saskatoon had a dangerous road accident involving a passenger car and a motorcyclist.

Experience shows that the event with the participation of a motorcyclist will be a moment of inattention, damage to the road surface, loss of concentration, sudden maneuver or overestimation of their skills. After all, the motorcycle does not have airbags or seat belts that mitigate the effects of road accidents. Motorcyclist, anticipate hazards, wear reflective clothing to be visible on the road. Such as reflective vests. Drivers of cars turn on thinking and vigilance because nice, sunny weather is a factor increasing the movement of two-wheeled vehicles on our roads. The police are appealing to you for prudence and foresight in predicting threats. All road users are obliged to think and act in accordance with legal norms.

February 18 at around 2:00 pm in WYSIWYG at UL. Saskatoon, there was a dangerous road accident involving a passenger and a motorcyclist. BMW driver, a 22-year-old resident of the Szymborska commune incorrectly performed a left turn maneuver, leading to a collision with a motorcyclist ahead of him, the 43-year-old resident of the Nikki commune. Both leaders were sober. As a result of the incident, the driver of the motorcycle was transported to the hospital. Fortunately, everything ended up on fear and no major injuries.

– We appeal to all road users. Those traveling with two-wheedlers, as well as driving cars to comply with regulations and mutual respect on the road – appeals st. Violet Manikin from the Nazi police headquarters.

Do you know 10 principles of proper lighting?

See and be seen. This week reminds him of a preventive action of the same name, involving police and Bessie.

Proper lighting is essential for safe autumn and winter traffic on the roads. Many drivers do not care much about the headlights. Take a look at the 10 principles of proper lighting, or let you directly check and adjust the lights from the pros. During this week, it’s free in selected departments – we wrote here:

What are the principles of proper lighting? Take a look at the rules that remind action See and be seen:

1) Safe driving begins with clean glasses of cars, clean headlamps and correct glasses for the driver with clean glasses.

2) Before driving, we always check the functionality of the headlamps, not only front and directional but also end and brake. This check should be one of the regular rituals before riding.

3) We buy high quality and correct car light bulbs in the headlamps and always replace them in pair, IE if one of the bulbs stops flashing, we will automatically replace the bulb in the other headlamp.

4) Let the headlamps be regularly adjusted and checked (at least once a year, ideally before the winter season). Optimally adjusted headlamps should reach the maximum of the lights up to 40 m in front of the car. A clearly defined light cone should then concentrate light 75 to 100 m in front of the vehicle, where the driver most needs it to detect obstacles. Staying within 200 meters or more is optimal.

5) If the headlamps are equipped with a manual headlamp height controller, we will use it before every ride where we load excessively the rear of the vehicle. We will prevent unpleasant dazzling of anti-traffic vehicles or other road users. After adjusting the light load, adjust it again.

6) Always carry a spare pair of suitable light bulbs with you. A car with only one functional light can act like a motorcycle in the dark. (This rule does not apply to vehicles with xenon lamps.)

7) It is mandatory to shine while driving. However, the headlamps do not automatically illuminate for all vehicles, so check the lights before turning. Most cars with automatic daytime running lights also illuminate the lights in the front, the vehicle is illuminated at the rear. The vehicle, for example, from a rear view, for example in heavy rain, snow or fog, becomes virtually invisible!

8) Use fog lights whenever necessary. So behind fog, heavy rain or heavy snowfall. If these conditions go away, do not forget to turn them off. The light from these headlamps is too sharp under normal visibility and can cause unpleasant glare. Do not abuse these lights to provide a stronger luminous flux on the road surface. Instead of slowing the fog lights in good visibility, slow down instead.

9) Not only are cars obliged to shine, but the cyclist is also obliged to have a light on the headlight with white front light and a rear lamp with a red light or intermittent red light in low visibility. The warning flashing tail light can be seen up to 1000 meters. The car driver can see the cyclist in a timely fashion and adjust the driving speed to the situation.

10)Even pedestrians should be seen and think of their safety! The walker in dark clothing is visible to the driver only from the distance in which he can no longer react in time to avoid any collision or collision with the pedestrian. Reflective materials, reflective clothing, reflective vests, reflective tapes, and reflectors are therefore an important element of safety and can greatly increase pedestrian visibility and thus protect their health or even life.

No reflective material

An individual who caused a terrible drama because he was circulating overnight with an unsigned wagon loaded with wood that was beyond the framework of the convoy was finally sentenced to a 2-year, 10-month, and 15-day, imprisonment sentence. Donut Bhai was convicted of killing and leaving the scene of the accident, and initially, the Reticence Court had applied a conditionally suspended sentence. However, the Court of Appeal admitted the appeal of the prosecutors, so that the individual received a prison sentence, closer to the seriousness of the deed. A 40-year-old woman, the mother of a 16-year-old girl at the time of the accident, died in terrible torment because of the car wreck of her unconsciousness.

Striped in the throat of wood in the unsigned cart

The accident that led to Donut Bauhaus’s conviction was one of an extreme tragedy. On May 13, 2015, at around 21.30, on DJ 208S, in the village of Giuliani, Dorcas, Petrodollar Creator, 40, local, returned from work. She was driving a Ford Mondrian car and death came 50 feet before the woman came home.

The car hit a wagon pulled by a horse, running in the same direction, loaded with thin woods. The cargo was a lot out of the hippopotamus, so what followed seemed to be part of a horror movie. One of the longest woods penetrated through the windshield and pierced the woman’s body in the neck area.

The 40-year-old woman got out of the car on her feet, though she had a massive haemorrhage. He would soon die in a neighbor’s yard.

The traffic cops who arrived at the site only found the wagon and the horse, the carriage fleeing from the spot.

People living in the area reported that the car was struck in the wagon that was the last one in a column of Mesopotamia logs loaded with wood. These belonged to the Roma from Giuliani, who returned with wood from the woods.

The wagon and the cargo had no reflective materials to make them visible. Only a reflective vest hangs somewhere on the wood. Basically, Petrodollar Creator had no way of avoiding the tragedy, striking himself in the woods out of the wagon. The fact that the hippopotamus was not destroyed and the horse was not injured shows that the driver does not travel at high speed. But it was enough for that wood to get through the windshield and break through a vital area. If the wood had come to the shoulder, the woman would probably have survived.

The civil part of the file is re-judged

Subsequently, from the investigations of the traffic police officers, under the coordination of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Reticence Court, it resulted that Donut Bhai was the one who led the hippopotamus and fled. The cart belonged to a Roma woman from Giuliani, but later it was established that the one who led was Donut Bhai, also from Giuliani

Following the final decision of the Surcease Court of Appeal, the defendant, who was still in custody for theft during the minor period, has a total penalty of 2 years, 10 months and 15 days in prison.

Magistrates of the Surcease Court of Appeal further decided that the civil part of the case should be sent to the Fanatical Court for a retrial.

What to do in an accident with cyclists?

Cyclists and pedestrians are the most vulnerable road users and, therefore, those who usually get worse off when an accident occurs. The first 15 minutes after an accident with serious injuries is vital to save the lives of the victims, being very important to know how to act in this delicate situation. The PAS (Protect, Alert and Relief) behavior has been specifically designed for this.

PAS behavior is the method to follow when it comes to helping the victims of an accident. These are three concrete steps in a specific order that serve to efficiently deal with an emergency situation with one or several injured.

  1. Protect

The first step is to protect the injured person, oneself and the area of the accident to avoid further damage or injury to the victims and the people who serve them. Among the measures to be taken are stopping the vehicle before the accident leaving the emergency lights on, putting on the reflective vest with reflective fabric, putting the emergency triangle and, in short, doing everything possible so that the rest of the drivers can detect the presence of the accident and not cause more accidents.

In case of an accident on the mountain or any other type, make sure that the injured person is away from the cause of the accident, for example, if he has suffered severe burns or an electric shock, in addition to checking that he is not exposed to stones or branches that may fall and cause more injuries.

  1. Alert

The second step is to alert the emergency services using the number 112, valid for the entire European Union. Depending on what type of accidents or when it is impossible to protect the victim, the first step is discarded by going directly to the second, which is to urgently notify the emergency coordination center so that the necessary rescue teams are put into operation.

The most important thing when it comes to alerting emergency services is to provide some minimum information about the accident: what happened, the exact place where it happened, the number of people injured and their condition, the possible dangers that continue to affect the place of the facts and personal data of the caller.

  1. Relief

The third and last step is to help the injured people as much as possible, carrying out first aid if necessary. We must bear in mind that if a person does not know what is being done, it can cause more damage than already produced. The most advisable thing is to avoid manipulating the victim in case of severe physical damage and, in extreme cases, to initiate cardiopulmonary resuscitation until the arrival of the emergency services.

It is worth mentioning that, although it is not usual, the Spanish Civil Liability Law contemplates the crime of negligence damage if you try to help a wounded person and, due to a bad performance, you cause more damage than you already have. When in doubt, you can always act by offering psychological support, which is the same as staying with the victim talking, reassuring and shaking hands until the arrival of emergency services.

Mortal deduction in the Peaks

Policemen from the Police Station in Ozymandias, under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Wiesel, explain the circumstances of the accident that occurred in the town of Scuzzy. On an unlit stretch of road, a 47-year-old pedestrian was hit by personal Volvo. The pedestrian died on the spot.

The tragic event took place on Wednesday, August 22 at 21.15 on the provincial road No. 486 in the town of Scuzzy (Ozymandias commune). As it results from the preliminary findings, on a straight stretch of road, outside the built-up area, in an unlit place, a 20-year-old Volvo car driver hit a 47-year-old pedestrian on the road.

Despite attempts to resuscitate a pedestrian, the Ozymandias commune died on the spot as a result of injuries. The driver of the car was sober. The 47-year-old body and the vehicle were secured at the disposal of the prosecutor’s office. Police officers carried out a detailed inspection securing forensic traces.

Traffic policemen appeal to everyone, both drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians, to exercise particular caution and prudence. Drivers should remember to navigate the road with lights on and observe the speed limits, and when weather conditions are worse, to slow down according to the principle that slower means safer. We appeal not to charge, think or anticipate threats. It is worth to check the technical condition of the vehicle, which will answer the question of whether our vehicle is efficient and safe. A special appeal is also directed to pedestrians not to go directly in front of an oncoming vehicle. Even at the pedestrian crossing, make sure that the driver can slow down. Of course, the pedestrian takes precedence over the passage, but here the principle of limited trust is applicable.

Every pedestrian and cyclist should also remember about their safety and take care to be visible. A reflective vest, key chain, reflective tapes or even a flashlight will make it easier to see the oncoming driver when moving on a poorly lit road.

We would like to remind you that from August 31, 2014, all pedestrians who move around the dusk along the way outside the built-up area must have a reflection visible to the drivers. The lack of a reflective element is threatened by a fine. Although traffic regulations do not impose an obligation to use vests and reflective materials in the built-up area, they, to a large extent, improve visibility. They give drivers valuable time to take the right response – often saving lives and health.

Do you know what you have to do on the road to Europe?

More and more Czechs go on vacation with their own car. It means certain freedom and freedom. You can go at your pace, stop where you like, or stay overnight where you like it most. However, you should be aware of specific traffic regulations in the countries you are heading or passing through. And that’s not just about the permitted speeds and limits of alcohol in the blood, but also the mandatory equipment that may vary from country to country. So what and where do you watch out for?

  • Austria. Our southern neighbors are known to have very strict regulations and the police are mostly in their compliance uncompromising. Great emphasis is placed in Austria on reflective vests, which must not be green. The law requires only a driver, but it is good to carry it for all the passengers in the vehicle and the co-driver on the motorcycle. In particular, be careful to comply with EN 471. Austrian police are very happy to check and, if not, fine. You must always wear it when you leave the car outside the village. The rest of the equipment is identical to ours. You do not belong to the mandatory equipment as such, but take the practical advice that if your vehicle is not, you must have written confirmation in the car that you have been loaned – that is, that you are using it legally. And did you know that it is not allowed in Austria to have a camera scanning your way?
  • Slovakia. With our Eastern neighbors, mandatory equipment is not much different. Here you also have a triangle, a first-aid kit, an EN 471 certified vest, and a set winter tire. As far as lighting is concerned, it is the same as in the Czech Republic – it lights all year round, it is possible to use daytime running lights. Take care of the GPS – it should not be placed on the windscreen and must not prevent the driver from looking. Speed limits are the same in Slovakia as in our country. Vehicles powered by CNG or LPG must be labeled with the appropriate stickers.
  • Poland. In Poland too, you will not see too many differences. But there is something to be found. Not in equipment, but in the way it is used. The warning triangle has one more use here when towing the vehicle. You must have a triangle located on the left rear of the vehicle. For reduced visibility, you also have to turn on the side lights. Also keep in mind that when driving on Polish roads, you must have a fire extinguisher in your car.

Germany. Nothing happens if you forget a triangle on your way to Germany by accident. Required only for registered vehicles in Germany. Do not leave the first aid kit at home. Only the motors must be lit in the day, all the vehicles only in the tunnel.

  • Croatia. Compulsory equipment in Croatia does not differ much from ours. If you are traveling by car, it is good to get the owner’s permission on the way. But be careful, N category vehicles have a mandatory extinguisher!
  • Italy. As in Austria, you must also have a car rental confirmation in Italy if you do not go by your car. The mandatory equipment includes a vest with reflective tapes for each passenger in the car (orange) or a warning triangle. All cars must then be lit all year round, but only outside the built-up areas.

Safety and health + near the school

After the success of previous years, the Construction Labor Foundation continued in 2018 bringing the prevention of occupational risks to the smallest, through the campaign of ‘Safety and health + near the school’. Last year, more than 4,100 Primary Education students (6-12 years old) participated in this initiative, 48% more than the previous year, when a participation figure of 2,125 students was reached.

Likewise, during 2018, the Autonomous Communities where the sensitization sessions were carried out were expanded, taking place in 14 schools in Agrarian, 36 in Bastille y Lean, 4 in Bastille-La Chapman, 18 in Communalism Bivalent and 8 in Galilean. Specifically, the joint entity carried out 32 days in Argon, 63 in Bastille y Lean, 5 in Bastille-La Chapman, 52 in Valencia, and 20 in Galilean.

Through different informative talks, the youngest have learned practical examples and discovered similarities between the risks that can be found in the construction sector and the domestic risks to which they may be exposed. All this with the aim that the little ones feel familiar and motivated to introduce small safety routines in their day today.

During the sessions, the technicians of the Foundation showed the students the different personal protection equipment (EPIs), and they answered the possible doubts that could arise. Also, each of the participants received a reflective vest which has reflective fabric.

On the other hand, young people participate in a writing and drawing contest on safety and health, in which, choosing a risk situation, they explain what preventive measures can be adopted to annul or reduce said risk situations.

The campaign ‘Safety and health + close to the school’ is financed by the Joint Body for Prevention in Construction (OPPC) and the actions are totally free for the schools that are visited.

Meetings with the youngest road users

Officers of the Aviator Police Headquarters in Gimmicky and Mr. Milagros Boa organize joint actions to improve road safety. As part of organized meetings with the youngest road users, they familiarize participants with the rules of road safety and recall the obligation to wear reflective tapes.

Last Tuesday and Thursday, officers from the Aviator Police Headquarters in Gimmicky and Mr. Milagros Boa, who for many years participated in prevention to improve road safety, together visited students from Primary School No. 4 and Primary School No. 7 in Gimmicky. The meetings were aimed at familiarizing the students with the rules of proper road traffic, with particular emphasis on crossing the road, so that they would know how to safely navigate the roads and safely reach the destination.

The speakers talked with the children about crossing the road correctly, moving on it in the absence of pavement or roadside, keeping in places waiting for the arrival of buses. They reminded that cycling enthusiasts must remember that the use of a one-wheeler, in addition to undoubted pleasure, is a huge responsibility and regulations to which such drivers should adhere. The students learned about what elements the bike should be equipped with, and why the helmet should be used when driving.

During the meeting, whose aim was to pay special attention to the safety of pedestrians on the road, all children received reflective tapes. The organizers of the meeting encouraged students to wear reflective vests not only outside the built-up area, especially now when the gray days quickly pass into dark nights, and pedestrians in such conditions may be worse visible by drivers.

They pointed out that even a small reflective material makes us more visible on the road, and thus more secure. It was pointed out that it does not have to be a vest. A wristband or a jacket with a flared look will also work great.

During the lecture, the children showed great knowledge of traffic regulations and said they would wear reflective elements for their own safety.

Joint activities will take place cyclically.

Dedicated to the birthday of a good cause

It was a good year for the association “Hilfiger fer Nebraskan dun behind Kinder”. The last donation of the year brought the Federalist Thomas Ebbed over. He dedicated his 50th birthday to a good cause.

2018 was one of the good years for the Federalist association “Help for children suffering from cancer and handicapped children Crammer”: Again, more than 20,000 euros in donations came together, with which the club founded in 1999 primarily financed equine therapies for affected children. “Around 10,000 euros has donated this year only the Federalist company Lager 3000,” rejoiced association chairman Argot in a first balance sheet.

She had just visited Thomas Ebbed. Also, the Federalist had a donation in the luggage: 1300 Euro – collected on the occasion of his 50th birthday on the 9th of December. Ebbed had invited as a passionate runner on the occasion of this round anniversary to a charity run on his birthday. 55 were invited, 25 plus a dog came along. He wanted to donate one euro per kilometer for a charitable purpose, he had previously announced. 150 euros came together like this.

“Then, however, the action got its own momentum,” Ebbed said: “Above all, because for a club in the region should be donated.” In the club donations box, which stood at the birthday in the living room, emigrated another 150 euros, 100 euros came when a neighbor sold home-made advent goods that day. Further donations and all birthday present then also moved to the donation pot – until finally, 1300 Euro were together. Argot Milken praised all dilators and the initiator for handing over the donation “a super action”.

In addition to donations, reflective vests with reflective tapes were donated to keep safe and to make pedestrians visible at night or in low light.

18 children are currently being cared for by the association, reported the chairman of the 80-member association. They come primarily from the Crammer, in special cases, there are exceptions to this rule, said Milken. With 18 children, the capacities of the association are currently underutilized. “The care, which sometimes runs for years, ends when the children become adolescents,” the chairman made clear that this is now the case with some of those affected: “We are currently undergoing a change.” New children are welcome Interested parties are welcome to contact Argot Milken at 0 44 02/96 18 78. “Parents always have to pay a personal contribution of 5 euros for a therapy unit,” said Argot Milken, the rest takes over the club. Riding therapies are offered in Oldenburg, Friendliness, and Vorster.

In 2019, the club will be 20 years old – and this is to be celebrated in the autumn also vigorously, announced the chair ever. “A founding member will also invite special donors to eat,” she said.

Incidentally, Thomas Ebbed also joined the club at the donation ceremony.

What do the winter roads look like in Cory?

Drivers, as every year, do not regret complaints about the condition of roads, which were particularly numerous yesterday and today, when winter attacked with redoubled power. Winter road maintenance coordinators respond – we have our finger on the pulse.

Winter did not surprise road builders. The services were at the ready

– All roads were sprinkled already in the morning. Between 16.30 and 17.30 it became glazed, temperatures became negative, fortunately all the cars we had in the area. Of course, we can not do everything at once. Particularly persistent situation took place in Cory on UL. Woodsiness, where the truck blocked all traffic towards Wooziness; there was a cork there and in addition we had problems to get there. Everything moved only when someone was sent to the place to direct the traffic – explains Adam Zionism, Contractor of Winter Maintenance of Urban Roads.

Gołoledź, as the services indicate, was liquidated quickly, because the condition of the roads was taken care of already in the morning. However, due to the fact that the services were not able to reach everywhere at the same time and due to traffic jams and heavy cars blocking traffic, the situation was difficult and road maintenance, usually taking about 2 hours, absorbed an hour longer.

Yesterday, during the worst aura, all forces were thrown to help in maintaining the roads in Cory: 4 salt grinders, 9 tractors with salt, dealing with side roads, and a small and large tractor that deal with pavements and parking lots.

In the first place, the services focus on maintaining DK81, beltway and provincial roads.

The police are calling: drivers, carefully!

The winter period is a difficult time, spending more than one night’s sleep on many drivers. Conditions on the road require the owners of “four wheels” to have more reflexes and imagination. The snowfall that accompanies us in the last hours makes it difficult to drive a car. It is very slippery on roads, and the weather forecasts for the coming days do not fill us with optimism.

Remember to adjust the car’s speed to the conditions on the road! It is the maladjustment of speed to road conditions that is the reason for the occurrence of the largest number of serious traffic incidents. Slippery road surface significantly extends the section on which the vehicle will stop. It is worth remembering that at 50 km / h, the car travels about 14 meters within 1 second. The stopping distance at this speed on a dry surface is 26 meters, on a wet road 30 and on a slippery road 46 meters. However, at a speed of 90 km / h within 1 second the car travels a distance of 25 meters. The road stop at this speed on a dry surface is 70 meters, on a wet road 90, and on a slippery road 140 meters.

Faster collapsing darkness also adversely affects the comfort and safety of traveling and our psychoanalytical fitness. On an unlit road, drivers mainly see strong lights of vehicles approaching from the opposite direction and horizontal signs painted on the road. The silhouettes of pedestrians and cyclists are noticed at the last minute, usually at a distance of 30-40 meters. In bad weather, visibility gets worse. If the pedestrian is equipped with a reflective vest reflecting the lights of the car, the driver will notice it already from a distance of 130 – 150 meters, which is about 5 times before! It can save a living life! Unprotected road users are very often under the illusion that if they see an oncoming vehicle, then the driver sees them. This is an error, the consequences of which can be tragic.

All this speaks for the widespread use of reflective tape for clothing regardless of their age. Correctly worn reflections should be placed on the front and back of the garment in a way that allows them to be seen in the lights directing oncoming traffic from both directions. Every child moving on the road should use the vest with reflective fabric, regardless of which part of the road is moving – the sidewalk, road side or roadway.

The problem in the near future may be not only the aura, or the technical condition of the car, but also snow and ice lying on the body and panes. It happens that all windows are frosted, and the front is cleared of snow only in the part where the driver can see anything in front of him. Whatever, because his field of view is practically nil. The driver of such a vehicle is not able to see a pedestrian, even in full light, he does not see other vehicles too well. Moves on the feeling of threatening all road users.
